Cowboys Star Sparks Controversy with X-Rated Gesture Toward Reporter After Heated Exchange

In the aftermath of a crushing defeat to the San Francisco 49ers, one Dallas Cowboys star decided to take his frustrations out on a reporter who was questioning his level of play.

Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs confronted WFAA reporter Mike Leslie outside of the locker room after Dallas’s 30-24 loss to San Francisco on Sunday night.

Leslie posted a clip of a play where Niners tight end George Kittle caught a pass and scrambled for a big gain – all while Diggs was seen jogging before pushing him out of bounds short of the end zone.

While Kittle wasn’t technically Diggs’ man (the corner was covering WR Chris Conley), Diggs could have made a stronger effort to push the tight end out sooner than he did.

After the game, video captured a furious Diggs confronting Leslie over his tweet – with the corner using crude language to put him down.

‘Out of that whole play that’s what you took from that? You don’t know football, you can’t do nothing that I do,’ Diggs said to Leslie.

‘You can’t go out there and do nothing. Stay in your lane buddy,’ Diggs added before starting to walk back to the locker room.

When Leslie told him he was ‘just asking a question’ and that he was happy for Diggs to respond, the corner returned.

‘It’s not a credible question, out of that whole play that’s what you took from that?,’ Diggs said before saying ‘get that f***in’ camera out of my face bruh.’

Once again, Leslie tried to get a response saying, ‘We could talk about it more.’

Diggs responded, ‘Talk about deez nuts,’ before finally walking into the locker room.

Leslie took the comment in stride, posting to X, formerly Twitter, after the game: ‘I do not have a comment about deez nuts.’

That play helped to turn the tide for the Niners. At the time, it was a 10-6 ballgame with Dallas in the lead.

Diggs appeared to use less-than-maximum effort while chasing down 49ers TE George Kittle

But that 43-yard gain by Kittle set up a rush by Isaac Guerendo to put the Niners up 13-10 on the opening drive of the half.

The Niners never trailed again, scoring touchdowns on their first three second-half drives to take a 27-10 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Despite a spirited attempt from the Cowboys, they couldn’t get the necessary points and turned the ball over on downs in their final drive of the game to fall to 3-4 on the season.

Diggs has not addressed the situation on any of his social media accounts.

The Cowboys will look to bounce back from their defeat on the road against the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday.
